Wetaskiwin Soccer Club aligns our playing formats to the Canada Soccer Grassroots Standards.
Youth Outdoor Season start:
Skill centres: Training begins in late April/May.
Travel teams: Training may begin in April, games begin in May. Teams may continue throughout July.
NOTE: All training days are subject to change, and coaches may choose to add additional sessions at their discretion. Official schedules will be shared when teams are set.
Fee: $120
Days of Play: Wednesday 5-6pm + 4 Saturday/Sunday Game Days (TBD)
Season Runs: April 30th- June 27th, 2024

Format: Skill Centre format
This age group uses a Grassroots approach to continue to build individual soccer skills: stop & go, dribbling, turning, pace, shielding, etc. Small sided games will occur at the end of each session, giving the players an opportunity to work together to find success and learn the importance of teamwork skills. In addition to our regular training sessions, we will have 4 game days that will take place on Saturdays/Sundays in May & June (Dates TBD). These game days will give players an extra opportunity to show off their skills.
Fee: $120
Days of Play: Monday & Wednesday 6-7pm + 4 Saturday/Sunday Game Days (TBD)

This new program will include a regular skill centre with peers twice per week. This skill centre model allows the players tons of opportunity to develop their individual soccer skills through our short season: stop & go, dribbling, turning, pace, shielding, etc. Players also begin to learn key game elements: positions, boundaries, rules of the game, etc. Registrants will also participate in the U11 CASA Development League. Games will include travel to surrounding Central Alberta Communities.
